Bobby was born on March 5, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Shirley Albright. He was the youngest of 3 children and only son. He graduated from Center High School in 1973 and went on to Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Missouri. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems in 1977. Throughout high school and college he was a competitive swimmer, member of the men’s chorale, and Lamda Chi fraternity. He was an avid member of the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the highest honor of an Eagle Scout and Tribe of Mic-O-Say Fire Builder. Bob worked in telecommunication systems for 30 years when he retired from Century Link in 2009. He went on to become a Vice President of Cyber Security for PNC Bank.
Bob met Tina Joyce in 1984 and they were later married in 1985. Above all his roles, his favorite was Daddy to his four children Robert (40), Betsy (37), Lauren (33), and Ryan (28). Those four children gave him two son-in-laws, two daughter-in-laws, and 9 grandchildren! Bob was a dedicated and selfless husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His favorite days were filled with his family, playing the piano, traveling, and being on the lake.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert K. Albright; his brother-in-laws James Scott and Michael White; and his nephews Jeff Davis, Michael Pitts, and Eric McDaniel. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Albright; his wife of 35 years Tina Albright; his son and daughter-in-law Rob and Mindy Albright; his daughter and son-in-law Betsy and Drew Thompson; his daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Cameron Gensler; and his son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Brittany Albright. His nine beautiful grandchildren; Maksim, Riley, Amelia, Maddox, Bennett, Elsie, Makena, Adley, and Brynlee; his sisters Patty Scott and Linda White and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Graveside Visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A Graveside Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.
