Bob grew up with his family in Kirbyville MO. He worked at a nearby golf course with his father. He was an avid golfer and played on the golf team at Branson High School where he graduated. He soon moved to the Kansas City area to start a family. He was the father of 3 children. Bob had several jobs at filling stations and automotive shops until he found himself in the grocery business. He worked as an order clerk at Milgrim’s, Frank’s IGA, Piggly Wiggly and others for approximately 35 years.
During his time off, he loved to fish and hunt, especially hunt for whitetail. Often times, he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing songs for his kids. He enjoyed woodworking and making things with his hands. He would see an item and set out to replicate one for himself. He enjoyed making items for others as well, gun cabinets, china cabinets, and memory boxes. Several other hobbies he enjoyed were playing his guitar, watching wrestling, reloading, collecting coins, collecting baseball cards, collecting Hotwheels, tinkering in his garage, and making people laugh.
After working groceries for so long, Bob retired and started his own handyman business. He was good at fixing things and enjoyed fixing them for others. After several years, due to health related issues he was forced to retire again.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Neal and Maxine (Humphrey) Neal, and his wife Carolyn Neal.
He is survived by his children, Tina (Steve) Granier, Robert (Melanie) Neal, and Stephanie Sharp, his grandchildren, Jensen (Cody) Smith, Brooke Granier, Michael Vaughn, Aaron Neal, Hunter Granier, Jalen Vaughn, Malorie Neal, Aidan Neal and his great grandchildren, Kaydence Granier and Maverick Smith. He also leaves behind his siblings, Paul (Debbie) Neal, Richard (Vicki) Neal, and Beverly (Harold) Hamilton, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
His life will be celebrated on 6-19-19, at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home and Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and the funeral will follow at 2:00 pm.
