Robert “Bob” Stevenson, 76, Kansas City, passed away Feb 25, 2015 in Liberty, MO. Services are Monday, March 2 at 10:00 AM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday March 1 from 1:00 – 3:00 at McGilley Antioch Chapel.
Bob was born Aug 19, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Maudine Stevenson and grew up in Avondale. After graduation from North Kansas City High School, he spent four years in the Air Force. Upon his return, he worked 38 years at the Ford Motor Company plant in Claycomo. On March 6, 1974, he married the former Helen Jean McGuire.
Predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Christina Van Horn, Bob is survived by Jean, his wife of 41 years; sons Bobby, Dean and Trinity (Catina) Stevenson, grandson Sean (Kendra) VanHorn, four other grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a sister, Dena Lumsten.
