Robert L Cates

He was an avid fisherman at Roaring River. He graduated from Chillicothe Business College and then moved to Kansas City in 1939. He worked for North American Aircraft during WWII. Later working for KC Vaccine, a veterinary medicine distribution Co. from 1950-94 when he retired. He was a member of Good Counsel and Redemptorist Catholic Churches.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Murphy) Cates; and 1 sister. Survivors include several generations of nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thanks to caregiver, Tammy Spieler.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 24, 2015 10:00 a.m. at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64111. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Burial to follow funeral service in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
