Robert A. Edgington, 72, passed away May 20, 2011. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 and funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 24 at 10:00 a.m. at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 10580 Barkley St #400, Overland Park, KS 66212, or American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105.

Robert was born on November 29, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Arnold and Helen Edgington. He graduated from South East High School in 1957. Robert was a branch manager of Appliance Buyers Credit Corporation before being an owner, along with his wife, of Kansas City Trailer Sales Inc for 44 years. He was a fun-loving salesman who enjoyed making people laugh. Robert loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Zane Edgington. Survivors include his wife Lila; daughter Renee (Benard) Hinson; grandchildren; Brent, Blake, and Brandon Hinson and Megan and Landiz Edgington; 5 great grandchildren; brother, James (Mary) Edgington; sister, Karen

Oakerson; many nieces and nephews.
