Robert J. Edwards, Sr., 86, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away November 3, 2015. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Robert was born April 1, 1929 in Nelson, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army following WWII. He had worked as a Railroad Clerk. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Ivor and Margaret (Davis) Edwards; his wife of 50 years, Jacqueline Edwards; and brothers Charles and Ralph Edwards. He is survived by his sons Robert J. "Joe" Edwards Jr. and Craig Edwards; daughters Nancy Sturgeon and Kathy Brilhart; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
