Robert A Fuchs

Born July 6, 1941, in Mexico, MO, he was the son of the late Omar Fuchs and Agnes Stapleton. On May 11, 1963, he married Carol Kuecker. Bob and Carol were married for 52 years before she proceeded him in death in 2016.

After growing up in Concordia, MO, he lived in the Independence area most of his life where he was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Bob worked multiple jobs, Allis Chalmers, Builders Steel, House of Llyod and retiring finally from Blue Springs Ford Parts. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and camper. He never met a person he couldn’t strike up a conversation with and could talk about any subject from sports, world events and beyond. Wherever his daughters worked, he would also listen on the news for some information about that company, sometimes finding out information before they even knew.

Friendships were important to Bob and even later in life he continued to have many friends including high school classmates, neighbors and Lutheran Marriage Encounter couples.

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Hosking and husband Ronald of Weatherby Lake, MO and Sharon Ragan and husband Michael of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Jessica Hershberger (Dustin), Nathan Graham (Samantha), Rebecca Graham (Patrick), Margaret Hosking and Alex Ragan; three great grandchildren Sophia Hayes, Willamina Graham and Wesley Graham; one sister, Louise Ahrens (Boyd) of Kansas City, MO; along with many nieces and nephews.

Services to be held at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home in Raytown, MO at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Funeral Services at 10:00 am on Friday, June 12, 2026 with graveside services to follow.
