

Robert "Paco" A. Gonzales, II, a humorous, hard-working, kind-hearted, honest, resilient, resourceful, protective, and compassionate man, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on August 4, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, Paco was a beloved resident of Kansas City throughout his life.
Paco was a graduate of Hickman Mills High School and went on to receive a degree in computer engineering. He began his career as a studio engineer for KY-102, later working for Computer Concepts. Before his retirement, Paco dedicated 20 years to Burns & McDonald. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working for Ash Cigars for a few years.
Paco was married to Matasha, and his legacy continues through his son, Joseph A. Gonzales. He is also survived by his mother, Janice Gonzales; sons, Dominick Thomas, Howard Dean Jones and Billy Jones; his brother, Michael J. Gonzales; aunt, Rosemary Gonzales; many cousins; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rhonda and Jimmy Thomas; and close friends, Cody and Kristie Darby, Don, Eric, and many friends from dialysis.
Paco was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Gonzales, I; grandparents, Virginia and Jesse Gonzales; his uncles, Jesse Gonzales and Richard Gonzales; and his aunt, Tina Gonzales.
In his personal time, Paco enjoyed hobbies such as remote control cars, cigars, audio engineering, games of pool, golf, and pinball machines. He was always the pillar of his family and close friends, and was there when anyone needed anything. Words cannot describe the hole his loss has left in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held at McGilley Antioch Chapel, located at 3325 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO, 64119, on February 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 pm.
