Robert Cole Hammond, Mound City, Kansas, died November 17, 2011. Bob was born December 7, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri at St. Luke’s Hospital. He attended Johnson County Schools and graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1973. He continued his education at Pittsburg State University. Bob married Cynthia Lou Novich on August 4, 1982. To this union two sons were born, Robert Cole Hammond II and James Blake Hammond. Bob was a member of #533 Pipefitters Local and retired some years ago. Bob’s mother, Marjorie Cole Hammond predeceased him in 2010. He is survived by two sons, Cole and Blake; the mother of his children, Cynthia Burns; his father, Jim R., of Leawood, Kansas; and a brother, John Paul Hammond, of Ft. Myers, Florida. The family will receive friends 2 – 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial in Mt.
