

Bob Jacquinot, 62, of Leawood, KS, passed away on January 15, 2024, after an unexpected complication from a routine surgery. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Lodge at Ironwoods Park at 14701 Mission Road, Leawood, KS, on Sunday, February 18, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. All are welcome.
Bob was born on March 27, 1961, to Bernard and Elizabeth Jacquinot (nee Harvey) in Kansas City, MO. He was passionate about his family, fishing, motorcycles, and, most recently, farming. His grandson Hudson was his biggest delight.x
At 12, his father took him to the Kemper Arena job site in Kansas City, MO, for JE Dunn’s Take Your Child to Work Day in 1974. His first visit to Kemper Arena inspired his educational goals and a career that spanned 45 years. Bob graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1979; he studied Construction Science at Kansas State University. After graduating from Kansas State University with a BS in Construction Science, he started his first job as a Project Manager at Linbeck Group in Houston, TX. For the past 37 years, he worked at JE Dunn and was the Senior Vice President, National Director of Construction Operations.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Jacquinot. Bob is survived by his wife, Karen Jacquinot (nee Johnson), whom he met as her sorority softball coach at Kansas State University in 1980. He is also survived by his daughters Cayce Hester (nee Jacquinot) and Carey Jacquinot; his son-in-law, Craig Hester; his grandson, Hudson Hester; his step-grandchildren Kate, Charlie and Bella; his father, Bernard Jacquinot; and his siblings Tom Jacquinot, Ann Russo (nee Jacquinot), Amy Riscoe (nee Jacquinot), and Jennifer Pantages (nee Jacquinot).
His departure was a great shock, and he will forever be profoundly missed by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply. Bob was an organ donor, and his passing saved and enhanced the lives of others.
