Robert Earl Linn, a devoted, hard-working, and loyal individual, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 87. Robert was born to Margaret Shoemaker Linn and Sim Linn, Sr. on June 30, 1938. He had one brother, Sim Linn, Jr., and a sister, Sarah Linn Sleichter. He attended Hume School in Hume, Missouri. In his young life he developed a lifelong love for hunting and fishing.
He served in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960, working as a mechanic on jets. The majority of his career was with Cook Paint and Varnish Company in North Kansas City as a machinist, retiring in 2000.
Robert married Shirley Ann Henne on October 8, 1960. The couple had a daughter, Linda Linn Nunn, and were blessed with two grandchildren, Samantha Rhoades and Zachary Haynes, as well as two great-grandchildren, Jace Jones and Ridley Rhoades.
Known for his ability to fix anything, Robert was always ready to help those in need. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed camping with friends and family, and boating on Table Rock Lake.
Robert was an active member of his community, participating as a Freemason and being involved at McMurry United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, his brother, and his baby daughter. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Linn; his daughter, Linda Linn Nunn (Roger); his grandchildren, Samantha Rhoades (Tyler) and Zachary Haynes; and his great-grandchildren, Jace Jones and Ridley Rhoades.
