Robert J. Palmer

Robert J. Palmer, 90, Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away March 6, 2017. Services will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. John LaLande Parish, 805 NW R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015 with Visitation from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Inurnment with military honors will be at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and the Korean War. Upon returning from his years of service, he was a lead machinist for TWA for 34 years. He was a good friend of Bill W. for 49 years. Mr. Palmer was a devout Catholic at St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs, MO and a Eucharistic minister. He was a genuine lover of dogs and all of God’s creatures.

He was preceded in death by: his first wife and mother of his children, Mary M. Palmer; second wife, Virginia Palmer; eldest son, Gregory J. Palmer; and youngest daughter, Anne B. Palmer. He is survived by: son, Chris (Manette) Palmer; daughter, Roberta (Sherry Burch) Palmer; son, Kevin (Jan) Palmer; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
