Robert Neal Reynolds

Robert Neal Reynolds, age 77, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on December 4, 2020 at 2:35pm in Lee’s Summit, MO at Saint Luke’s East Hospital. He was born on December 21, 1942 the son of Keith H. Reynolds and Kathryn Hacker in Belton, MO. He married Beverly Pearce on April 12, 1964 in Honolulu, HI.

Robert “Bob” was a Union Carpenter for 30 years and retired in 1998. He enjoyed watching endless hours of MU Sports, Westerns, Nature shows, and having Sunday breakfast with his family.

His hobbies included, raising game chickens, playing solitaire, bird watching, and talking trash with his brothers during an occasional golf game. Bob served 4 years in the US Navy from 1961 to 1965, where he met his beloved wife, Beverly, of 56 years.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Pearce) Reynolds, son Delray Reynolds (wife Stacy), daughter Christi Castaneda (husband Alex), 5 grandchildren; Olivia, Gabby, and Gavin Reynolds, Dani and Sydney Castaneda; brothers Terry Reynolds (wife Sue), Keith Reynolds, Earl “Sonny” Hacker (wife Julie), aunts Dorothy Shirk and Jeannie Cambers, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

Preceded in death by grandfather Ernest “Pappy” Shirk, mother Kathryn ”Katy” Hacker, father Keith H. Reynolds, step-father Earl D. Hacker, sisters Sandra Sue Reynolds and Karen Sue Oldham.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future when family and friends can gather in safety. To give hope this holiday season, we kindly ask his family and friends to donate to their local Food Bank to help those impacted by COVID-19.
