

Robert Rojas, 79, passed from this life and into heaven on January 22, 2021 in Kansas City, MO. He was the youngest of 13 children born to his parents Julian and Amparo (Rodriguez) in Kansas City, MO.
Bob was baptized and a member of First Baptist Church of Raytown. He was united in marriage to Brenda Sue Macko on October 10, 1964. They had a loving marriage of 56 years and enjoyed many activities throughout their union including bowling, traveling, and dancing; he and Brenda even won 1st place in a dance competition while on a Caribbean cruise! In his later years, Bob became a Mason and a Shriner at the Ararat Temple in Kansas City. He was very active in the Shrine and was a member of the Greeter Unit and awarded Greeter of the Year in 2013. Bob was also active in "The Q," served as a Potentate aide, and transported children to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis. Bob was a member of the Blue Springs Shrine Club and Coon Creek Shrine Club, and served as past president of the Liberty Shrine Club. Through his association with the Shrine, Bob and Brenda made wonderful friendships and this close group of friends made many memories together through card playing, golfing, traveling, and dancing.
In his early years, Bob was employed as a bartender and restaurant server. He eventually found employment at Montgomery Ward and worked there 30 years. Bob was not one to sit idle for long, so in his retirement he kept busy by working part-time, and most recently at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home. He enjoyed working there immensely.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Amparo Rojas; son Robert Patrick; sisters Amelia, Inez and Dolores; brothers Vincent, Julian, Renard, John, Peter, and Joe.
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda; daughter Kelly and Deke Lowe of Gulf Breeze, FL; son Christopher of Lathrop, MO; and daughter Rachelle and Jason Brown of Ava, MO; grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) Mills, Richard (Adrea) Rojas, Ashley (Harrison) Szuch, Alayna, Caleb, and Thomas Brown and Landon Rojas; great grandchildren Devin, Colton, and Liam Mills; Sean, Christopher, and Nathan Rojas, and Analyn Szuch.
Bob also leaves behind his sisters Aurora, Concepcion, and Carmen; brother-in-law Melville Macko; sister-in-law Sue Sullivan, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Bob will be remembered for his gentle and kind spirit. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, relative, and friend. He will truly be missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at lovetotherescue.org.
