John Russell, 79, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away January 10, 2012, at Menorah Medical Center. As per his wishes, he was cremated. A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers. John was born in Kansas City on November 5, 1932, son of Joseph and Jewell (Manning) Russell. He attended Paseo High School and the University of Missouri at Columbia where he was a member of Kappa Alpha. He had many close personal friends dating back to high school as well as business associates from his more than thirty years in the advertising profession. He is survived by the love of his life, Martha, with whom he celebrated 50 years of happy marriage. Survivors also include several dear cousins and two wonderful sisters-in-law and their families.
