Robert Lee (Beau) Thompson III, age 50, passed away October 18, 2010 at Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Prairie Village and Leawood, Kansas. He earned a bachelor degree in information technology and a master degree in business. He loved music and was an accomplished musician. He was a Mayflower descendent of John Alden and Pricilla Mullins and a Jamestowne descendant of John Woodson and Christopher Branch. He is survived by three sons, David Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri, Jacob Thompson and Charles Thompson, both of Lawrence, Kansas; his parents Joan and Robert Thompson of Kingwood, Texas; grandmother Helen Crawford Price, Kingwood, Texas; and his niece Chelsea Thompson of Leawood, Kansas. He is also is survived by his brother Brett D. Thompson of Marathon, Florida, Branden A. Thompson and his wife Glenna of Leawood, Kansas, and his former wife, Virginia Thompson of Overland Park, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his brother William V. Thompson II. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, Missouri.
