Robert A. Wimberly, 83, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road. Mr. Wimberly was born June 11, 1925 in Independence, Missouri, son of Monroe A. and Marguerite (Petersen) Wimberly. He had worked as a camera repairman. He was a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth I. Wimberly, on December 18, 2005. He is survived by his daughters Linda Wimberly of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Sheryl Preuitt and son-in-law Richard Preuitt of Kansas City, Kansas; grandson Bobby Wimberly; stepgrandsons RIchard Preuitt, Jr., Rance Preuitt, Robert Preuitt and Maurice Hunter; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
