Sorry about your loss.  My 94 year old Father (Fred VanAlden) said that Robert L WInsky, Sr is my Grandma's brother.  My grandmother was Katherine Winsky Carr (Kansas City KS).  She died went I was 13 so about 1961.  May his soul rest in piece.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Winsky.  Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Winsky's passing - he was a pioneer and builder of the Kansas City transportation and warehousing field.  I met Mr. Winsky once at an industry event and remember him as very likeable, energetic, and intelligent.  My deepest sympathy to the Winsky family.

Mr. Winsky was a good client of mine for many years. I learned a lot from him and had great respect for him. I enjoyed being around him and he never failed to make me laugh. I will miss him very much.

Sorry to hear the news. Glad I was fortunate enough to work for and get to know Mr Winsky.  Mr Winsky was full of life and fun to spend time with.  I remember the many stories he had to tell about his journey in life.  There are few people you meet through out life that touch you in ways that stay with you forever. Mr. Winsky was a friend of my father's. He was such a generous man with an amazing sense of humor. His smile could light up a room. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you.

I was Mr. Winsky's secretary in the late '70's.  He was very kind to my family of four young children, permitting me to skip. My lunch so I could go to their after school athletic activities.  My husband and I were very fond of him, he was a kind hard working man.  Doris Carr

During the conflict whereby Croatia sought its independence from Yugoslavia, St. Theres's orphanage in Zagreb found itself a refuge for children and refugees but with few provisions to help them. A major company in Kansas City donated needed diapers, baby food, medicine etc for the orphanage but no way to get the supplies there. Bob Winsky stepped out of the crowd and made arrangements for all of his "trucking buddies" to pick up the supplies and deliver them to the East Coast where Mrs. Barbara Bush had them shipped from America to Croatia by boat. Bob, you made many children happy as they received new shoes, clothing and food.....Don Wolf

I worked with Bob on the North America Croatian Relief and he was a dedicated worker and very generous.  He was a joy to work with.  My sincere condolences to his beautiful family.

He arranged for several shipments to be sent to  Bosnia and Croatia through his company. Bob managed to attended MANY of our meetings and social activities despite his busy schedule. It is always difficult when a loved one passes away. My sympathy for your loss.

Bob was one of a kind.  Tough and rugged, yet gentle and kind.  What a smart business man he was!  Always a gentleman.  I could see him in his younger years smoking a cigarette while throwing back a drink and laying down the law.  He loved life - he loved people - he loved his family.  What a great guy.  They don't make men like him anymore.  One of a kind.  Love him much.  Betty - he loved you so!  Thank you for being there for him.

"Big Dog",  The stories I could tell are endless as are the memories you have left in my mind and in my heart. Over the last 26 years I have watched you put a smile on so many people's faces,(yes a few frowns too).  You never met a stranger.  You inspired people.  You made us feel we worked "with you" not "for you".  I'm sure I speak for so many others who's life you touched. I will miss your booming voice and your kind heart.
Mrs. Winsky, Bob Jr. & Diana, There are no words to truly express my sympathies. Thankfully you all know what is in my heart so no words are necessary.  Remember I am always just a phone call away.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God's peace be with you and bring comfort in this time of sadness.

I will miss my Uncle Bob and his incredible sense of humor. He was the last of the 3 Winsky children and my mom was his sister. Rest in peace Uncle Bob and I will miss you.
