Roberto “Bobo” Alaniz, 62, of Kansas City, MO. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 1, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., KCMO, where the funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, Kansas.
Roberto was born on February 3, 1956, in Kansas City, MO to Noe Sr. and Paula (Negrete) Alaniz. Roberto was a United States Army Veteran. He was a laborer all his life, retiring after 30 plus years of employment from Carter Waters LLC. He enjoyed having a great time with his family and friends, making jokes that made no sense but yet, were so funny, and being an opinionated spectator to all sports, but most importantly his beloved Oakland Raiders.
Roberto was preceded in death by his loving parents, Noe Sr. and Paula Alaniz; two brothers, Noe Alaniz Jr. and Rafael Alaniz; two sisters, Anna Marie Garcia and Elisa Maria Alaniz. Roberto is survived by Theresa Alaniz; four brothers, Jesse Alaniz (Liz), Reynaldo Alaniz, Ricardo Alaniz, and, Joseph Alaniz (Olivia); four sisters, Lydia Alaniz, Maria Elena Alaniz, Consuelo Alaniz (Jason) and Paula Alaniz; brother-in-law, John Garcia, Sr.; sister-in-law, Rosie Alaniz; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a great-great niece.
He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed my many, but will never be forgotten. He made a mark on many of his family and friends lives, and will continue to live on in all of our hearts. Condolences may be made at www.mcgilleymidtownchapel.com
