Roger leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Kathy; his daughters, Edie Spease (Tim), Audrey Cockrum and fiance Andrew Griffin; son, Brian Cockrum; grandsons, Larry Giglio and Blake Spease (Maria); Granddaughter, Phoebe Giglio; a great grandson, Brauzie; and a sister, Lisa.
Roger was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He could build a car from scratch and had a wonderful green thumb. Roger enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with the cats and dogs. His family has been blessed to have been a part of his life. Roger will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice in Roger's memory.
Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Bethel Baptist Church, 2406 Route 291, Independence, MO 64057. A visitation will begin at 10:30 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM, military honors will follow services.
