Roger Warren Nichols

On November 9, 2021 Roger left this earth to be with family in heaven. He was a lifelong resident of Raytown, Missouri. He and his wife of 61 years, Sue, raised five children. He was a Master Beekeeper and a lifetime member of both the Midwestern Beekeepers Association and the Missouri State Beekeeper Association. Roger was active in Scouting with his sons at Troop 283 in Raytown and he served as Commissioner of the Boy Scouts Heart of America counsel for several years.

Roger is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Sue); Daughters, Nancy Nichols-Castellanos (Gretter) and Janet Helms; sons, Michael Nichols (Darrel Wingo) and Jerry Nichols; eight grandkids: Raju, Giovani, Mia, Gian, Katie (Jordan Sholey), Cindy, Thomas (Karen), Nathan (Krisit); five great grand kids: Olivia, Madeline, Tynan, Juniper and Lillian; and his brother, Ralph.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Velma; brothers, Lester and Stephen; his son-in-law, Lesslie Helms; and son, Thomas.

He will be forever in our hearts, forever in our minds and forever a part of us. We love you.

A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM, Funeral Mass at 10AM, on Saturday, November 13, at St. John Francis Regis Parish, 8941 James A Reed Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
