Roger William Peterson

Roger William Peterson, 64, passed May 27, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Monday, June 6th at McGilley Antioch Chapel, burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6 PM Sunday at the chapel with rosary at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Roger was born in Kansas City and lived here until moving to Scottsdale in 2007. He was a 30 year employee of the Union Pacific Railroad before retiring in 2000. Roger married Kathie Grimes on August 25, 1973. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Peterson and Marilyn D. (Riley) Duderstadt. He was a Roman Catholic.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kathie Peterson of Scottsdale; 3 children, Andy Peterson, Sara Peterson and Sean Peterson, all of Kansas City; grandchildren, Analisa Peterson, William Peterson, Codey Peterson, all of Scottsdale, and Ashley Peterson, Amanda Peterson and Jason Pittman, all of Kansas City; brother Richard Peterson, Kansas City; half-brother, Brad Duderstadt, Kansas City; and half-sister, Niki Swab, Kansas City.
