

Ronald E. Beck, 82, died on March 11, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 30, 1944, in San Francisco, California, the son of Joseph E. Beck and Mary R. Beck.
Ron was a graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri, and went on to earn his business degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. An independent spirit, he spent most of his working life as a self-employed entrepreneur. Over the years he thrived as a real estate agent, owned a successful kitchen and bathroom remodeling business, and ran his own vending machine company.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Mark A. Beck. He is survived by his wife, Vernita R. Beck of the home; a son, R. Scott Beck (Annette); a daughter, Macy L. Beck; a daughter, Traci S. Wowak (Brian); a step-son, Brian S. Keath (Jessica); his four grandchildren; Trevor L. Beck, Grant F. Beck, Noah S. Wowak and Sarah A. Wowak; a step-granddaughter, Chelsea Gillespie; a sister, Pamela A. Beck and two brothers, Jerry Beck and R. Michael Beck.
The family will welcome visitors at McGilley and Sheil Funeral Home, 11924 E. 47th Street Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 17th from 5:30 p.m., to 7:00 p.m. A committal service will be held from 7:00 p.m., to 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 10:30 a.m., at Woodlawn Cemetery, 701 S. Noland Road, Independence, Missouri.
