Ronald Lee Crook

Ronald L Crook, “Papa”, 73 of Independence, MO passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9-10 am, with services beginning at 10 am, on Saturday, May 3rd followed by burial, all at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. KC, MO. 64133.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St Jude's.

Ron is preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy; Granddaughter, Tara Simer; Brother, Walter Crook; Parents, Marc & Helen Crook. He leaves behind his Daughter, Wendy (Brian) Simer and three grandchildren, Tia (Deven) Roszell, Talynn (Andrew) Tann, and Trenten (Jennifer) Simer: Great-Grandson, Titus Tann, and many family and friends.

After retiring from Bayer Corporation in 2010, Ron had more time to take his grandkids to the movies, Worlds of Fun, and the lake. He was a wonderful Father, Papa, G-Papa, Uncle, and friend. He loved fishing, a good game of Phase 10, manicuring his lawn, cleaning his truck, and his blue plaid shirts. Papa always carried blue Freedent gum, Wint-O-Green Life Savers, and orange Certs for all the grandkids. He was a human vending machine. He always made sure that the fridge and cabinets were stocked with Dr. Pepper, Blue Pepper (Pepsi), fruit snacks, and Jello cups as well. He was the greatest, our lives will not be the same without him here. We love you….till we meet again.
