

Ronald Wesley Doyle of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, aged 89, passed away on August 16, 2026. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by family. Ronald was born on September 20, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Southeast High School where he met Wanda Wood who married Norman Brooks, his best friend until the end of his life. After graduating in 1954, he attended the University of Kansas City (now University of Missouri - Kansas City) where he majored in business. His business career consisted of sales whether it was pharmaceutical sales, home accessories, clothing sales or jewelry. His hobbies consisted of playing golf, especially with his good friends Norman Brooks and Larmon Goble, having coffee with his friend/lake neighbor Leslie Rupp, watching all types of sports and eating as many sweets as possible. A trait of his that was beloved by many was his wit. He was able to come up with quick, clever responses to almost anything. He loved all dogs, but he had a special place in his heart for Pomeranians. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Renae Elaine Doyle and his three stepchildren, Amy Rose Sage (husband Steve), Tamara May Kolbet (husband Aaron), and Nathan Donald Melton (wife Laura). He is also survived by his biological son Christopher and adopted-daughter Patty as well as multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Pearl Doyle, his mother Lillian Doyle, his brother Buford Doyle and his biological son Kevin. Ronald will be cremated and laid to rest at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, with his mother and father. An intimate family-oriented service will take place on Saturday, August 29, at 2 p.m. at Newcomer’s Floral Hills, with an open-house to take place at the Sage home (1749 NE Blue Heron Ct., Lee’s Summit, MO, 64086) afterwards.
