Ronald Wayne Simmons, 68, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on March 25, 2024. Ron is a beloved husband, father, “Papa”, brother, and friend. He was an avid musician and local home brewer; playing several instruments in multiple bands, and winning numerous prizes in beer competitions with friends. Ron played guitar in the praise band at First United Methodist Church for several years, as well. Ron worked as sales manager at Regal Graphics for over 20 years, before retiring in 2023.
Ron leaves behind his devoted wife (Vickie), two daughters and sons-in-law (Shannon and Sean), and (Jennifer and Andrew), two grandchildren (Adrienne and Kian), his mother (Judy), sister (Leslee), brother (Steve), multiple brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, as well as many wonderful friends. Ron is predeceased by his father (Stanley), and younger brother (Scott). A funeral service will be held at The First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs on Saturday, April 13th, from 1-3pm.
