He is survived by his Wife: Kay Lavonne Wing, Sister: Barbara her husband Roger Hahn, Sister-in-law Bonnie Wing, Brothers: Jack Wing and Ted Wing, Sister-in-law: Elaine and husband Charlie Turck and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was employed 31 years by General Motors Leeds Plant in Kansas City, Missouri. After retiring from GM he worked at Raytown School District for thirteen years.
Ronald was led to know his Savior Jesus Christ through his brother-in-law Don Stetler. His mother-in-law, Mabel Stetler, took him under her wings when he was sixteen-years-old. She was the matriarch of his faith and invested much love in his formative years. Ronald spent a lifetime serving his Lord through singing, devotion, memorizing scriptures, and providing hours of volunteer service to the church., He was an artist and took pride in landscaping his yard that looked like a park. He artfully took care of fish tanks and had a love for nature. He drew hundreds of beautiful birds that were well fed throughout the years. There was always life flourishing under his eye. His passion in life was to watch his kids grow and spoil his grandchildren. While Ronald was quiet by nature, he would always be generous to share a favorite bible verse or a story about his grandkids.
Ronald met Kay Stetler in 1950 and they married June 15, 1958. They had Karen Wing-Rose in 1960 who married Dale Rose in 1979. They had their first grandson Clayton Rose in 1988. Clayton is engaged to be married to Rocio Stewart. They had their second child Dave Wing in 1962 who married Janice Zornes-Wing in 1991. They adopted three sons: Jeremie, Jack, and Jommel in 2008. Some of Ronald's best memories came from doting on all four of his grandsons.
Ronald was preceded in death by his Parents: Ted and Wilma Wing; Brothers: Bob and Buck and Sisters: Shirley, Arlene and Judy.
Ron's favorite favorite bible chapter was Romans 8, which he memorized when he was nineteen years old.
