Rosa DeSantis (Rasile) 99 years old of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 10 at 11AM at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS. Visitation will be from 10AM to 11AM at the Church of the Nativity. Entombment will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery following the Mass.
Rosa was born in Tufo di Minturno, Italy. Rosa immigrated to the U.S. in 1938 (New York City). She was married on March 3, 1946 to Francesco DeSantis until his death in April, 2009. Rosa was an embroiderer for Church vestments. Rosa and Francesco retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida for 23 years.
Rosa was the mother of two children: Frank (Margaret) and Mary. The grandmother of Catherine (Shane) Musil, Andrew, Regina (Devon) McDonald, Anthony, and Michael (Nadia) DeSantis. The great grandmother of Mia, Josie, and Jameson McDonald. She was preceded in death by her parents Angelo and Mary-Grace Rasile, her daughter Mary and grandson Andrew.
