Rose Mary Baker was born on September 9, 1925 in Independence, Missouri to parents Ernest L. Smith and Bessie M. (Boyts) Smith. She married Verlin E. Baker on Christmas Eve in 1946. The two had four children; Linda, Maribeth, Sue, and Brent. Rose Mary was a lifelong resident of Independence, and loved by all that knew her.
