

After living a beautiful and fulfilled life, Rose, passed away Thurs., May 5, 2011, while surrounded by her four children. This Rose filled any room she entered with beauty, grace, and the sweet fragrance of a heart full of love and joy. And did she love to party; either entertaining in her home, or at the Blackjack tables in Vegas. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Nov. 25, 1916, to Syrian immigrants, George and Jamela Jammal. The family moved to KC when Rose was just 3 and she worked in her father's grocery store at an early age. She met her life's love after the war, and married John R. Campbell, Sr., just 5 months after meeting him! Rose reveled in her life as a devoted wife, mother, volunteer, and caregiver to so many. Rose's smile cheered anyone she met. She is survived by her four children: Greg Campbell and sons, Brandon and Brian; Lenette Crawford (Dana), and their children, John Crawford and Christina Kosmowski (Eron), as well as Rose's great granddaughters, Anja and Ali; son, John Campbell, Jr. (Karyn), and their children: Barrett, Kirby, Rachel, Holly, and Laura; Diane O'Byrne (Rob), children: Whitney, Caitlin, and Austin. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, John; infant daughter, Theresa; sister, Weda; and brother, John. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who eased Rose into her next adventure: Hospice House of KC, Villa St. Joseph, Brighton Gardens, and Odyssey Hospice. So many lives were touched by Rose's warmth and love; we know she's smiling down on all of us! Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 11th, 5:30 p.m., at Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th, Leawood, KS 66209, with a visitation to follow in the church hall. The family requests no flowers. In honor of Rose's faith, you may make a donation to Church of the Nativity, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
