Rose was married to Clarence Shockley for 67 years, together they welcomed two children into their hearts, John and Patti (Quaas) Shockley.
Rose was the head cashier for Macy's at Antioch Center for 20 years. She retired in 1988 to be active in the lives of her grandchildren.
She had a passion for music. She enjoyed singing and playing her organ. Rose took every opportunity to share her love of music and her skilled organ playing with anyone who would listen. Rose took great pride in being a founding member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church and often reminisced about attending mass at Winnwood Roller Skating Rink while sitting in folding chairs and kneeling on cardboard.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents Vito and Carmela DeMarco; her brothers, Tommy, Carl, and Tony DeMarco; and her loving husband Clarence B. Shockley.
Rose is survived by her children John (Susan) of Lenexa, Kansas; Patti (Greg) Quaas of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren Heather Quaas, Sarah (Nick) Kingan, and James Quaas; and great grandchildren Annalynn, Declan, Hunter, and Willow.
