

Rosemarie Sullivan, 76, of Raymore, Missouri died peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 2nd, 1935 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of John and Marie O’Donnell. She moved to Kansas City in 1963. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-six years, William P; five children, Michael Sullivan and his wife Mary of Overland Park, KS, Kathleen Kenyon and her husband Greg of Raymore, MO, Timothy Sullivan and his wife Connie of Leawood, KS, William J. Sullivan and his wife Lisa of Kansas City, MO, The Reverend Patrick Sullivan of Frankfort, KS, her mother Marie O’Donnell of Omaha, NE, her sister Mary Margaret O’Hanlon and her husband Terry of Omaha, NE and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father John E. O’Donnell.
Rosemarie was a one of the founding members of St. John Francis Regis parish where she took great joy in practicing her faith. She volunteered at St. Joseph Medical Center for over a decade and was an avid sports fan.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 21st from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 22nd, 10:30 a.m., at St. John Francis Regis Church, 8941 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138, with burial following in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters Servants of Mary, 800 N. 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66102. The family offers particular thanks to the Sisters Servants of Mary, the staff of Villa St. Joseph, and all the medical professionals at St. Joseph Medical Center for their loving care during Rosemarie’s illness.
