Rosemary Fiscella, loving called Mimi by family and friends, was born May 6, 1931 in Plymouth, PA. She went home to Jesus June 7, 2020, joining her husband Bob in God’s glory.

Rosemary is survived by her children Kristy (Jeff) Fiscella, Lisa (Joe) Krstulic, Jim (Maria) Fiscella, and Doug (Ginny) Fiscella; seven grandchildren Emily and Abby Krstulic, Jessica Heil (Josh), Jon (Kelly), Jake, Caroline and Molly Fiscella; and two great-grandchildren Henry (Jessica) and Sophia (Jon) and her niece Lori Adams.

Rosemary is a graduate of Bloomsburg State Teacher’s College and later earned her Master’s in Education from the University of Kansas. She spent a long career as an elementary teacher and retired from Stanley Elementary where she proudly taught children not only how to read and write, but also to be the best version of themselves.

She met the love of her life Bob while working summers on the Jersey Shore. They would wait tables and enjoy the beach on their summer vacations from college. Rosemary and Bob were married in 1956 and enjoyed 62 years together before Bob’s passing in 2018. She enjoyed playing golf at Leawood South Country Club and traveling with Bob during their retired years. Nothing gave her greater joy than to spend precious time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who always knew the fridge at Mimi’s house would be stocked with mandarin oranges and SpaghettiOs.

The cares of the world concern me no longer I have completed this life, my work is done, My family is happy and healthy in their pursuits, I have loved much and well To those I leave behind, I hope I will remain in their hearts as they will in mine, Thank you for taking such good care of me And all of you who have been my friends thank you for teaching me about life and love. Message from Rosemary: “Best of all is you, my family. I wish, for you, a wonderful life with your families. Know that I loved you all and you were my happiness.”

I remember Rosemary with great fondness from our days working together at Stanley Elementary. She was a "ball of energy" not much bigger than her students with a "larger than life" personality!!
Remembering her great laugh and spunkiness brings a smile to my face. She will be missed but not forgotten!!

My sympathies go outto Ro's family. She was a ,great gal and I have fond memories of her playing golf and socializing at Leawood South. She was a good soul and fun to be with. God bless her.

I am so grateful for the time spent with Mimi over the last several years. She always had a smile and would ask how I was doing and how my kids were. She made me feel like family! Her quick wit, sassy personality and unconditional love for others will be dearly missed in this world. Heaven got a good one.
Until we meet again Mimi.
I love you!

Fiscella Family, due to the current COVID situation, I will not be able to come to express my sincerest sympathy to you all personally. I played golf with Ro at Leawood South for so many years. She was such a spitfire and a remarkable lady. I wish I had had some of her ever energy. She and I shared many talks about our dear golfing friend, Lisa Fettes, as she battled cancer. She will be dearly missed by so many. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers on Friday. God Bless you all.

Sincerely, Linda Lucas

Ro was a favorite golf partner and friend to all she met. Her smile and her friendliness will be missed, but she will be remembered.
