Ruby was born in Chicago, Illinois to John and Tina Potts before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. There she met the love of her life David and had five children. She invested her time in her home and her family until the kids went out to school. Her and David then spent much of their time traveling. She enjoyed weaving and gem cutting and is known for her constant kind words.
She is a dearly missed wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma.
A visitation for Ruby will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133). The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM and will be followed by a graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (Same Address).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Children's Mercy Hospital.
