She was born March 1, 1927 in Fayette, Missouri. She grew up as the youngest of nine children in the midst of the depression. She met and married Rollin “Monty” Montgomery in the summer of 1947. They were happily married for 63 years before Monty passed away in 2010. She was a member of Grace Point Baptist Church. She worked hard as a loving housewife and mother to three daughters.
She is survived by her brother, Myrl Sartain; her daughters Linda Oldham and husband, Bill, Karen Neufeld and husband Darryl, and Sandra Grdinovac and husband Rude’; four grandsons, one granddaughter and eleven great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered as the life of the party, full of energy and enthusiasm for life and love for her family and friends.
Visitation was held 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 30 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
