

Rudolph J “Rudy” Janchar, 81, Kansas City, passed into eternal life on October 20, 2014. Born in Duluth, MN on July 8, 1933 to Joseph and Mary Janchar, he was blessed with a robust personality and enjoyed good times with family and friends, good food, drink and a spirited pinochle game.
Along with Dorothy, his wife of 52 years, Rudy is survived by his children, Ann (Mike) Wilson of Batavia, IL, Jeanne Janchar, and John (Valerie) Janchar of Kansas City and James (Michele) Janchar of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Abigail, Jeffrey and Nicholas Wilson; step-granddaughters Micaela (Anthony) Tarantola and Laura Flick and step-greatgranddaughter Harper Tarantola. Also surviving are siblings Betty Mrak, Orange, TX and Joseph (Alice) Janchar of Duluth, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday October 24 at 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Catholic Church, 610 99th Avenue West, Duluth, MN. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Superior, WI.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to NorthCare Hospice or the Food Pantry at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Arr. McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO.
