Russell was born on April 7th, 1957, to Maxion and Virginia Hoaglin. He graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1975.
He met Deborah in 1982 at Libby Welding. They were married April 20th, 1985. They shared a wonderful 40 years together.
He enjoyed building and working on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. But more than that he loved spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his parents Maxion and Virginia Hoaglin, brothers Larry Hoaglin and Lyndle Hoaglin, and sister Nelia Ethington.
Russell is survived by his spouse Deborah Edwards Hoaglin, his children Joanna Neill (John), Russell Hoaglin II (Carley), and Clifford Hoaglin (Kimberly Hall). Brother Denny and wife Patty Hoaglin, sister-in-law, Jo Hoaglin. Also, his grandchildren Alex Brown and Luke Neill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 11924 East 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64133, United States. The event is scheduled for January 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
