Ruth (Rush) Thornton passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born on May 5, 1936 to Robert A. Rush and Grace (Caviness) Rush in Linn Creek, Mo. She lived most of her life in Lee’s Summit, Mo and Blue Springs, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Thornton. She is survived by her daughters Teresa (Gary) Mitchell, Karon Brooks, and son, James D. Thornton, five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
