Ruthel Mathenia Mejia

Mrs. Ruthel (Ruthie) Mejia, 54, of Lee’s Summit, MO died on Wed. August 1, 2012 at her home. Funeral service will be on Tues. Aug 7 at Linwood Blvd. SDA Temple, 4300 Linwood Blvd, KCMO with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, KCMO. Visitation will be 5-7 pm on Monday, Aug 6 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, KCMO. Ruthel was born July 17, 1958 in Wichita, KS to Edward and Wilma Mathenia. She was married to Luis Mejia for 32 years and have two adult sons at home. Ruthie was employed as a RN and was a member of the Linwood Blvd Seventh Day Adventist Temple.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by her husband, Luis; sons, Roberto and Maurice of Lee’s Summit; 4 sisters; 4 brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a wonderful church family.
