Sandra Sue Rodriguez

Sandra Sue Rodriguez, 67, of Blue Springs, Missouri; passed away Thursday, December 23rd, 2021. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on (Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10am. Both services are at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home. Interment immediately following at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, MO.

Susie was born November 23, 1954 to George and Norma Henthorn. On June 16th, 1972, Susie married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Rene Rodriguez. Susie was a loving wife and mother and doting grandmother. She loved her family gatherings and holidays were she is was always known to have her disposable Kodak Cameras within arms length to catch as many candid memories of her family as possible. Anyone who would refuse to smile for the camera would get to hear her favorite phrase,"Get your butt over here so I can smack the crap out of you." Which was always said with love while laughing so hard she could barely sit up. Susie loved to shop always finding the perfect gifts from QVC and HSN. She was also an avid collector of the collectible Holiday Barbies and Teddy Bears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Norma Henthorn; Sister, Diane Cooley; Son, Michael Anthony Rodriguez and Grandson; Zachery William Jewell.

Susie is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 49 years; Rene Rodriguez of the home; One brother- Gary Henthorn (Franke) of Independence, MO; Two children- Daniel Rodriguez (Anne) of Independence, MO and Kristi Wade of Blue Springs, MO; 13 grandchildren- Jesse, Nico, BriAnne, Alek, Austin, Dominick, Brittany, Santana, Alexandria, Stephen, Xavier, Makayla, and Daniel; 12 Great Grandchildren- Wyatt, Jackson, Beckett, Greyson, Hayden, Amora, Georgia, Willow, Eastyn, Emery, Jirayia and Clairabella; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
