Sandra "Sandy" Kay Braden

Sandra “Sandy” Kay Braden, age 78, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 19, 2021. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119.

Sandy was born on July 16, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to parents Tena (Haitsma) and John J. Potts. She graduated from Raytown High School.

Sandy was a secretary for GTE Sylvania production for 28 years until her retirement in 1987. A lady of many talents, she was a proficient artist and enjoyed crafting.

She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Billy Braden; children, Jill (Anthony) Lomonte, Daniel Vande Haar, and William (JoAnn) Braden; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. I worked with her at GTE Sylvania for many years. I have one of her paintings that she gifted me for a birthday. Even though we didn't keep in touch after retirement whenever i look at the painting I remember the kindness of her heart and bubbly personality. I was blessed to know her.

Pop, Bill, Jill and Daniel,

I wished I could have made it to the funeral but I will be there in heart and soul! I Loved Sandy very much!
I’m sending my heartfelt condolences, with many hugs of gratitude that I was so privileged to have met her and to become a member of the family.
Pop was her world, as she was his.
You will be missed Sandy, and I love you with all my heart.
