Loving mother, caring wife, friend, and teacher. Ann, as she was known to family and friends, passed away at home Saturday, June 4, 2011. She was born May 3, 1944, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Snider as the eldest of four children, all of whom survive her. Ann is also survived by her husband, Howard, of 36 years, and her two children, Joe and Sarah. She taught math for 37 years before retiring from the Grandview School District in 2003. In the years since, she was able to be the social butterfly she was meant to be as an active member of the Queen Bees and the Survivors. Ann always had a twinkle in her eyes and a smile on her face. There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, June 16, at The View Community Center, 13500 Byars Rd. in Grandview. A short visitation will start at 2:00 p.m, with the service starting at 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served after the Celebration until 5:00 p.m. The family asks that donations be made to Kansas City Hospice or John Brown University, in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be made at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
