She was the daughter of Richard and Karen Woodworth, the sister of Brian Woodworth who is EXTREMLY handsome; and mother of Vincent and Krystal Torello, who are both little heathens. Shannon was also the mother of her deceased baby boy Canyon. Over the years she and her mother Karen Woodworth shared not only a mother daughter relationship, but became best friends who loved and supported each other each and every day. Although not being an official grandmother…unless Vincent or Krystal has something they’d like to tell us…Shannon was the grandmother of five furry grandchildren: Ace, Gunner, Zara, Kobe and Raiden.
Shannon was one of those cool moms that most of the kids wanted to come over and hang out with. She had and open door policy at her home for family, friends and neighbors. As a mother to Vincent and Krystal and all of her other adopted children…which were pretty much every friend Vincent and Krystal had, Shannon was the best BMX mom, soccer mom, cheerleading mom and horse riding mom, among many others. She was Vincent’s number one fan and supporter of his DJ career and the biggest admirer of Krystal’s artwork and creative gift…hey Krystal, did you ever make your mom pay for any of your artwork?
While Shannon was still being the mother of those two bratty kids of hers, she also enjoyed her personal interests which included going to the lake, taking canoe trips with family and friends, watching fireworks at Royals stadium and rockin out to good music…which Krystal reminded me that she held on loosely and never let go…whatever the hell that means.
But hey, before we move on I am a little curious, they say that what happens at the lake stays at the lake, but Morales family, do you have any good dirt on my sister you want to share with us from those lake trips you all took??? Now as we continue to take a trip back in time…say like high school days for instance, If I remember correctly, there was some party’s being thrown…Hey Cindi and Lisa, you remember those days at all??? But before she was corrupted by the Boehmer girls and was still young and innocent, she had a fondness for softball which I have to admit, she was really good at.
So whatever memory you have about Shannon, I think we all can agree that she was a girl, a woman, a friend, a mother, a daughter, a niece and a sister who was full of love and had a heart of gold. So as we continue to celebrate her and her life, let us all focus on those magical moments that happened when she was with us.
Oh and don’t forget, as the die-hard Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan that she was, she got to see her home town baseball team bring home the championship!
If you wish to join us to celebrate Shannon’s life, please come as you are and know this will be a casual environment and casual attire.
Arrangements under the direction of Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO.
