

Shirley Clare Adair, 92, of Lee’s Summit, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Hospice House NKC Hospital. She died peacefully of old age . She was born on February 24, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo. She lived a wonderful life accepting Jesus Christ, Son of God as her Savior. She was married to the best man in the world Roland B. Adair. She was born to Dr. Clare & Gertrude Sherman with three sisters, Mary, Camile and Myrtle. She always put everyone ahead of herself, including family, friends, and animals. She was a very talented person as an amateur competition roller-skating dancer, artist, model, home designer, bowler, mother, and wife. She worked as a commercial artist at The Jones Store Company for 35 years. She loved painting, gardening, and entertaining and much more. She was a busybody in everything she did. She spent everyday raising her grandkids and planning holidays with her family. She was blessed to have best friends, Betty and Clyde Jordan, Bill and Barbara Ragsdale, Leo and Dee Stimpert. She leaves her children, Ronald E. Adair, Cheryl Lynn Adair, grandchildren, Carrie and Seth Johnson, Christin and John Moran, Travis Boulware, Ryan and fiancé Lily Adair, Sean and Meredith Adair and her great grandchildren, Noah and Sam Johnson, Brayden and Grace Moran, and Olivia and Ethan Boulware.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2021 beginning at 1 pm, followed by the service at 2:00. Floral Hills Funeral Home 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
