Shirley R. Bohling, 75, of Belton, Missouri, passed away July 1, 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Christian Church, 18809 S State Route Y, Belton, Missouri 64012. Shirley was born November 30, 1935 in New Cambria, Missouri, daughter of Prosser and Pauline (Grimshaw) Jones. After graduating from New Cambria High School in 1953, she moved to Kansas City and went to work for Hartford Insurance. Shirley met and married Bobbie Bohling on September 3, 1955. In 1963 they opened the Bohling Moving & Storage Company. They sold the business July 1, 1999. Shirley enjoyed traveling in their motorhome throughout the U.S. She loved animals and the outdoors. She is survived by her husband Bobbie Bohling of the home; brothers Jerry Jones and wife Mary of Raymore, Missouri, Bud Jones and wife Chris of Odessa, Missouri and Bob Jones of Jeff City, Missouri; sister Annella Crandall of Hanover, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
