Shirley Joan Houghtaling

Shirley was born January 28, 1936 in Warsaw, MO to Wilbur Davis and Violet Philbert. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cameron. Shirley worked for Montgomery Ward for 23 years and she volunteered at Camp Quality for over 20 years, where she helped the children with ceramics as part of “Helen’s Helpers”. Shirley taught her family to love well.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, son Dennis, brother Dean Davis and her parents. Shirley is survived by two sons James Houghtaling (Chris) and David Houghtaling (Michele), daughter Jenny Houghtaling, daughter-in-law Linda Houghtaling, sister and best friend, Patty Zumbrunnen (Don), grandchildren Amy (Ben), Denny (Alyssa), Ryan, Aaron (Jamey), Clinton, BreAnne , Angel (Tim), great-grandchildren Paris, Derrick, Gracie, Shaylynn and Anthony, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins 9:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 on Wednesday, November 2 at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Quality. Condolences to mountmoriahterracepark.com
