Shirley Jane Taylor, 87, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri died September 23, 2011 at her home. Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26 at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Entombment will be in the Faith Mausoleum in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Shirley was born July 18, 1924 in Cowgill, Missouri. She worked for the Imco-Ethyl-Brockway Company for thirty-five years. She also worked for the Gillis Center School for 21 years and at Heritage United Methodist Church Nursery for eleven years. She is survived by her husband, Luther O. Taylor, Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Linda Hardman, Sun City, Arizona; two sons, Larry Taylor, Shawnee, Kansas and Len Taylor (Dana), Liberty, Missouri; a brother, John R. Dobson, Sun Lakes, Arizona; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gillis Center School, 8150 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
