Rosary will be prayed beginning at 6:00 PM Monday, July 8th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO where a visitation will continue until 8:00 PM Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 9th at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 6415 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. A committal service will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, 6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested in her honor to the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Padraic Pearce Division I, 4921 N Kansas Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64119.
Shirleyann was born January 20, 1935 to Thomas J. Stapleton and Angeline (McCarthy) Stapleton in Kansas City, MO. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Avila College and had a varied and successful nursing career. Shirleyann was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her son, Jack.
Shirleyann is survived by her four children and their spouses, Mark, Lisa, Michelle and Matthew; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Shirleyann was much loved and will never be forgotten.
