Sidney Hock, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on October 20, 2012. Sid was born in the Bronx, NY, on March 24, 1917. During World War II, he was stationed in Springfield, MO, where he met the love of his life, Kay. When discharged from the army as a decorated veteran, Sid and Kay made their home in Kansas City, Missouri. Sid was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Kay Hock, and his son-in-law, Bob Becker. Sid is survived by his two daughters, Terry Becker and Babs (Kirk) Krueger; grandchildren Carrie and David Becker, Megan (Joseph) Herren, Michael (Mary) Krueger; great-grandchildren Hannah and Emily Herren. Terry and Babs give special thanks to his caring doctor, Rene Bollier, Home Instead caregivers Marie and Charlotte, and the staff of Crossroads Hospice.
