Sonja Hanni Hatfield, 84, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Private services will be held at a later date in Des Moines, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 455 Sherman Street, Suite 500, Denver, CO, 80203.
Sonja was born June 11, 1928, in Hamburg, Germany to Marx and Anna Benneke. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and son, Guy Hatfield. She is survived by her daughter, Terry (Mike) Pursel; and a granddaughter, Erin Pursel.
